Virginia Tech Ut Prosim Celebration

Midway is an integral part of Virginia Tech University Advancement's "Ut Prosim" Celebration, a high-end gala event for major donors to the university. Our team transformed VT's Indoor Football Practice Facility into an elegant event space while seamlessly incorporating the intended use of the venue into our design.

Mercedes-Benz U.C.I. World Cup

Midway was brought on board by Snowshoe Mountain to provide site-wide distributed audio for the U.C.I. World Cup, a prestigious mountain bike race which was internationally broadcasted to an audience of millions.

We designed and implemented a specialized audio-over-IP network using Dante™ to carry low-latency audio and communications across miles of fiber network cable to our numerous speaker positions, announcer locations, and broadcast control rooms along the race course.

Virginia Tech Campaign Kickoff Concert

Centered around a concert by Anderson Paak and the Free Nationals, we designed and implemented a turnkey production solution for VT's Boundless Impact Campaign Kickoff Concert.

In addition to a class-leading PA system, lighting rig, three video walls, IMAG, and spotlight towers, Midway also provided a Stageline SL320 mobile stage with custom loading dock, site-wide crowd control barriers, and generators.

Wanderlust 108 Tour

We designed, packaged and operated a large-scale sound system for Wanderlust 108, a touring yoga festival with 20+ events per year in major cities across the United States and Canada.

Each component of the system was hand-picked such that the package could be quickly and easily deployed by our technicians on-site to cover audiences of thousands while fitting into only 8 feet of truck space for transport across the continent. Midway also provided Stageline mobile stages and site power distribution for a number of these events.

Cassell Coliseum Projection Mapping

Midway developed a large-scale projection mapping solution for Virginia Tech's Institute of Creativity, Arts, and Technology, working in tandem with their multimedia designers to project content onto Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg.

After undertaking a detailed site survey and projection study, we flew 2 31K Panasonic projectors from scissor lifts to illuminate the 164 foot Colliseum with breathtaking clarity.
